1st/2nd class standard express train coach, type AB4üe, of the railway company of the German Democratic Republic (Deutsche Reichsbahn).

From the end of the 1920s until the 1960s, this coach shaped the image of fast and express trains – the standard express train coaches belonging to the German State Railway Company (DRG) which were built from 1928 onwards. Due to a lack of new coach constructions, the German State Railway in the GDR used the riveted all-steel 1928 construction coaches even longer than the German Federal Railways in high-quality express train transport.
