With the successful launch of “Coop-Rail” on 2nd October 2021,
railCare took over an annual 30,000 dispatches with a net weight of
335,000 tonnes from SBB Cargo. To cope with the additional volume,
it temporarily used 150 wagons of the type Hbbillns and Hbbillnss
belonging to SBB Cargo. These were all equipped with “railCare”
labels and a barcode on both sides especially for this limited
18-month deployment. Generally, however, the wagons were to be
found not exclusively as block trains for railCare on the routes
Wangen bei Olten (S) or Hunzenschwil (AG) to Niederbottigen (BE),
to Brig (VS) or to Gossau (SG). Trains from the third to
twenty-second wagon are prototypical.
