The set contains two coaches, type Bimz, of the Flixtrain. The coaches have five compartments and an open seating area in the middle.

Flixmobility has been offering train connections between Berlin-Stuttgart, Berlin-Cologne, Hamburg-Cologne and Hamburg-Stuttgart under the Flixtrain brand since 2018. The rolling stock of Flixmobility consists, among others, of former Deutsche Bahn express train coaches. Both coaches are owned by HEROS (Helvetic Rolling Stock GmbH) and hired out to Flixtrain.
