The diesel locomotive commonly known as ÖBB series 2062 was
initially delivered to the Soviet Union in 1957 as part of the
Austrian State Treaty, with a total of 50 units. With its
double-walled, thermally insulated construction of the engine room
front, the machines equipped with all-burner boilers and additional
driver's cab heating were designed for ambient temperatures ranging
from -50 to +45 °C.
The model can only be operated with analog control devices to a
limited extent.
