In January 2017, the Austrian Federal Railways concluded a
framework agreement with Siemens for 200 new Vectron multi-system
locomotives. The locomotives are to be used in more than ten
countries in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, Germany and Italy.
To date, several series have been delivered to the ÖBB under the
series designation 1293. The locomotives of the 1st and 2nd
delivery series are equipped with country-specific packages for
Austria, Germany, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland,
Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia.
Note: The model is a new item, which is created by overprinting
some details such as the road number or frame lettering. The
specific details are taken over correctly depending on the
prototype. The models are offered at an attractive RRP, as
overprints may be visible to a certain extent.
