After the nationalization of the private railways had the SBB in their fleet a wide variety of car types, which were not up to the new requirements. Based on positive experiences with wagons with axles of 9.00 m, standards were set for the new types to be procured. For Nebenstrecken the biaxial second class carriages were included in the program.

FZ2 parcel post wagon: Two small series of FZ2 combined baggage / post wagons have been made in the years 1932-1940 by F2 conversions. With this type of wagon, it was possible to dispense with carrying your own postal carriage on secondary routes. The basic data are identical to those of F2.

FZ2 19001 - 19008: In the series 19001 - 19008 of 1932, the small post office compartment, each with an additional sliding door, was installed at only one end of the car. Otherwise, the car remained in the layout and in its appearance resembled.

FZ2 19009 - 19013: In the series 19009 - 19013 of 1940, contrary to the first conversion series, a new body was built on the old bases. As a result, a larger post office compartment was created. Again, both compartments had two side sliding doors.

Registration numbers: FZ2 19001-19008 & FZ2 19009-19013

Conversion from F2 on the basis of the old box (F-door in the center of the car)

Conversion from F2; new box; F-door from the middle shifted, therefore larger mail compartment
