1965

The first 5x units from this series are built in 1965 by Wegmann in Kassel. These bar coaches are the first TEE coaches with a length of 27,5 meter.

The coaches had only at one side an entrance. Next to this entrance was a toilet and a luggage compartment, which was also accessible from outside through side doors. Next to the luggage compartment were four compartments with each 6 seats. Next to the compartments was the bar and a dining compartment with 18 seats, separated by glass sliding doors. These coaches were equipped with a climat control system of type Jettair. The bar was provided with a coffee machine, an icemachine and three refrigerators and a kitchen sink.

These units are registered as ARD4üm-64 10561 - 10565. These units are used for TEE trains Blauer Enzian and Helvetia.
