1951

Unit RCe 2/4 611 is converted from RCm 2/4 611 diesel railcar in 1951.

The main workshop in Zurich is commissioned with the conversion using electrical equipment provided by the Sécheron Workshops (SAAS) (the electrical motor used is identical to those of Re 4/4I 401 - 426 but the power output is reduced).

The diesel engine and clutch are removed from the bogie, but the manual and reversing gears are left. Three gears are removed and in manual transmission only two gears are left, with the possibility to switch between them only while the vehicle is at a standstill. Therefore, the railcar has two top speeds depending of the gear: 75 km/h or 110 km/h.

Tow hooks and buffers are mounted at the same time.

1956

After the 3rd class is abolished in 1956, the units are classified as RBe, without any changes to the interior equipment.

1959

Both units receive new registration numbers:
- unit 611 receives new registration 1008;
- unit 612 receives new registration 1009.

1964

During EXPO 64, both units are assigned to Olten depot for passenger services between Olten - Läufelfingen - Sissach, Olten - Langental, Olten - Zofingen and Olten - Biel.

Both railcars are scrapped immediately after EXPO 64.
