Initially intended to be sold in 2011 to the Deutsche Bahn together with 12x other units from the Am 19-90 500 - 519 series, the contract is finally canceled due to the unfavourable Swiss franc exchange rate at the time.

This unit will be finally bought in 2012 by SBB Historic while the other 12x units will be sold the same year to RegioJet (RJ) where they will be registered as Amz 19-90 001 - 012.
