About

Brawa

Founded in 1948 by Artur Braun in Waiblingen, Germany, BRAWA began as a specialist in electrical accessories, gaining early recognition for its patented plug-and-socket connectors that simplified layout wiring. By 1963, the company officially adopted the name BRAWA and expanded its portfolio into functional cable cars and trolleybuses, establishing a unique niche in the hobby. In 1970, the company relocated to its current headquarters in Remshalden, where it continued to refine its engineering and expanded into specialized cable production.

The 1990s marked a strategic evolution as BRAWA entered the premium locomotive and rolling stock market, prioritizing museum-quality detail and technical precision. Today, as a third-generation family business, the brand is globally renowned for its "super-detailing" philosophy across H0, N, and 0 scales. Utilizing heavy die-cast zinc frames and etched metal components, BRAWA recreates European railway history with extreme prototypical accuracy. Their models are characterized by hundreds of individually mounted parts and advanced digital features, catering to collectors who demand the highest standards of historical realism and technical fidelity.
