Siemens and European Locomotive Leasing - ELL sign a framework agreement for the delivery of 50x Vectron locomotives, including alternating-current (AC) and multi-system (MS) locomotives.

These units have a maximum output of 6.400 kw and a top speed of 160 km/h. Each locomotive is equipped with the European Train Control System (ETCS), in addition to national train control systems.

The AC units can be operated in border-crossing traffic in Austria, Germany and Hungary, while the MS units can be deployed in border-crossing traffic in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

The locomotives are delivered from 2014 through to 2016.

Siemens and European Locomotive Leasing - ELL sign a framework agreement for the delivery of 50x additional Vectron locomotives.

The Vectron locomotives are to be used for both freight and passenger service. The first Vectrons called up in this new agreement are planned for cross-border operation between Romania and the Netherlands, along the western corridor from the Netherlands to Italy, from Germany to Romania via Austria and Hungary, as well as within Germany, Austria and Hungary.

The new framework agreement enables European Locomotive Leasing - ELL to also order locomotives for the corridor to Scandinavia in addition to the previously ordered variants.

All locomotives are equipped with the European Train Control System (ETCS) along with national train control systems. The locomotives have a maximum output of 6.400 kw and a top speed of 200 km/h.

European Locomotive Leasing - ELL orders 8x additional Vectron multi-system locomotives for the Czech Railways - ČD.

The multi-system locomotives have a maximum output of 6.400 kw and a top speed of 200 km/h. They are intended for passenger service on the Prague-Berlin route.
