1943

Based on German C4üe-38 passenger coaches, a total of 823x units from this series are built by ASTRA Wagon Factory in Arad (Romania):
1941 - first series: 20x 3rd class units registered CAFLD* 71.000 - 71.019;
1949 - second series: 80x units, some designated as 3rd class CAFLD* and some as 2nd class BAFLD, registered 70.020 to 70.099;
between 1951 and 1961 - third series: 723x 2nd class units registered BAFLD 70.100 to 70.822.

*from 1955 onwards, after the 3rd class is abolished, all coaches are registered as BAFLD 2nd class passenger coaches.
