1943

CFR ordered 100 locomotives type DR 52 in Germany, locomotives built and delivered between March and October 1943 from 5 factories and registered as Series 150 1000:
- Floridsdorf (Viena) delivered 20 units: 150 1001 - 1020;
- Schwartzkopff (Berlin) delivered 10 units: 150 1021 - 1030;
- Maschinenbau und Bahnbedarf (Berlin) delivered 13 units: 150 1031 - 1043;
- Skoda (Pilzen) delivered 17 units: 150 1044 - 1060;
- Henschel & Sohn (Kassel) delivered 40 units: 150 1061 - 1100.

All 100 locomotives were assigned to 7 CFR depots, all of them on lines used to transport goods to the front or the Reich:
- 150 1001 - 1020: Pitesti depot (March 1943);
- 150 1021 - 1030: Buzau and Turnu Severin depots (May - June 1943);
- 150 1031 - 1043: Turnu Severin and Orsova depots (June - Septembre 1943);
- 150 1044 - 1060: Pascani depot (July - August 1943);
- 150 1061 - 1080: Ploiesti depot (Septembre 1943);
- 150 1093 - 1100: Campina depot (Octobre 1943).
 

1973

The locomotives were still used to pull freight and passenger trains at depots Petrosani, Teius and Campulung Est.  

1976

Most of them have been retired from 1976 to 1979, but some locomotives have been used in the 1980s for maneuvering, traction of freight and work trains, or as a steady generator of steam.
