The Grote Modelspoor Expo, organized biennially
since 2002 by the publishers of Belgium’s leading model railway
magazine, Modelspoormagazine / Train Miniature Magazine, and the
country’s renowned railway journal, Spoorwegjournaal / Journal de
chemin de fer, is Belgium’s largest and most prestigious model
railway exhibition.
The expo features a highly regarded exhibition segment with over 30
model railways, showcasing some of the finest layouts from across
Western Europe. A highlight of the event is the culmination of the
mini-layout and diorama competition, featuring around 15
participants in each category. This competition adds an exciting
element to the weekend, drawing enthusiasts from all over.
The expo has established itself as an internationally recognized
event, attracting more than 5,000 visitors every two years. It is a
must-visit for anyone, young or old, fascinated by the enchanting
world of miniature trains, offering a unique opportunity to explore
and celebrate the art and craftsmanship of model railroading.
